Music is the universe-al language
I wonder what Dr Benham or Neeley would think of this. Â After all the talk about how music is not a universal language. Â And now we’re saying that not only is it the universal language, it’s the galactic-al one. Â Or whatever the term is.
I am glad to see that someone has been thinking what aliens will think about our society. Â When they come.
Two questions: 1. Why Bach and not, say, Rachmaninoff? Â Or say Ali Farka Toure? Â Why classical and not another style? Â Would they not like the Beatles? Â Kansas? Â 2. How come when Capt Kirk and the others from the various Star Treks visited a new planet, they very rarely showed any interest in the music or art of the culture?
