Stop it. Please. Just…just stop it.

Family Christian (of Family Christian Bookstores) has come out with edifi, a Christian tablet. Because, you know, that Kindle you’ve been using is not sanctified. Thank you to FoxNews for reminding us that this is not the first religious tablet. “That honor, of course, goes to Moses and the Jews.” And, well, God.

What…no customer reviews for a 14 year old used CD?

Also, it is probably worth that price for the artwork, but please, if you just want the songs, let me know. I know where you can get high quality mp3s for free. (At the same time the thought just occurred to me that if a used CD goes for $22, I wonder how much I [...]

Mistake #1. (and #2)

I logged into Facebook today. I know. I shouldn’t have, and it was obvious that I shouldn’t have. But I did. Then I posted a comment. (I know!) Now I’m sitting here with my blood pressure up because of an inane argument on Facebook with people that I don’t even know. Time to quit again.

American entertainment

I ran across this on one of the St. Louis Cardinals websites the other day. One of the contestants on American Idol this year is the 15 year old daughter of Joe Magrane, who pitched for the Cardinals in the 1987 World Series. Here’s the video: So Steven Tyler thought it would be okay to [...]

Words I pronounce wrong–or is it wrongly?

My friend Sarah sent me a link to a blog post called “10 Words You Mispronounce That Make People Think You’re an Idiot.” I actually don’t mispronounce any of the words mentioned. Although he would disagree on prerogative. And I disagree on often – while I pronounce it the way he says it should be [...]

Now it’s just getting silly

After last week’s performance, in which he threw for 316 yards (as in 3:16), the Tim Tebow mania had reached what I thought was its pinnacle. Today I heard that Tebow is now the most popular sports figure in America. Really? Okay, there are worse things than having a good role model be the most [...]

Hate Facebook? Don’t care for Google+? There’s more!

The latest (as far as I know, anyway) to enter the social network fray is unthink.com. Unthink likes to bill itself as the anti-facebook. And from what I can gather on their website (without signing up, mind you) is that they intend to be a socially aware, socially active social network. Despite the stupid name [...]

How much Klout do you have?

What if every potential employer judged you based on your social media skills? Not just whether you are on Facebook or Twitter (or rather “and Twitter”) and maybe other social media sites, but how effectively you use those sites to influence people. Sounds like a great idea, doesn’t it? Meet Joe Fernandez, the creator the [...]
